Here’s Today, I want to take a moment to give flowers to someone who deserves so many—my sister Vanessa Carter. She’s not just my sister; she’s my best friend, my safe space, and the one who walks with me through every season. When I say she’s the one I call about everything—I mean everything. Whether I need someone to talk me off the cliff or back on it (yes, sometimes it’s like that!), she’s there without hesitation. Even when I’ve jumped off the edge, she’s right there helping me pick up the pieces with love and grace.
I’ve watched Vanessa grow, evolve, and walk boldly into new territory. What amazes me the most is how doors don’t just open for her—sometimes, jobs are created just for her. Literally. She walks into places where no position existed, and they create a role simply because they know they need her. That’s divine favor. That’s what happens when God steps in and says, “This one is mine.” No man can close a door that He opens.
My sister has been through a lot. She is quiet, reserved, and graceful in her own way. The opposite of me in some ways, but also so much the same. She carries strength in silence, and purpose in every step. Watching her lean into her faith, embrace her growth, and follow the path God has laid before her has been a blessing to witness.
Vanessa, I honor you today. I love you deeply. I’m proud of your resilience, your spirit, and your obedience to God. I know He’s just getting started with you. This is your season—and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Keep walking in your purpose, sis. The best is yet to come.
Your little sister,
Ms. VVS!
