Healing Out loud because I Almost Died in Silence! From my heart to yours…

There was a time when I smiled for pictures but was screaming for help inside. A time when I was the strong friend, the dependable daughter, the supermom, the go-to woman for everyone else—yet quietly falling apart in the privacy of my own soul.
I wore strength like makeup, perfectly applied to cover the bruises you couldn’t see. I laughed to keep from crying and stayed busy so I wouldn’t have to sit with my brokenness. But let me tell you something, sis—silence can be deadly.
I almost died in that silence.
Not a physical death—but an emotional, spiritual, and mental death.
The kind of death where you stop dreaming.
Where your heart becomes numb.
Where you shrink yourself just to survive.
But God.
God didn’t let me die. He whispered into my soul in those quiet midnight moments, “You don’t have to suffer in silence. Healing is yours—you just have to open your mouth and reach for it.”
So I began the journey of healing out loud.
One conversation.
One journal entry.
One prayer.
One brave decision at a time.
I cried when I needed to.
I set boundaries when I had none.
I said “no” without guilt.
I said “yes” to help—therapy, support groups, real sisters who wouldn’t let me drown.
And let me be honest—it wasn’t easy. Healing out loud means being seen. And being seen can be scary when you’re used to hiding. But the truth is, our silence doesn’t protect us—it only prolongs the pain.
So now, I speak up.
I show my scars.
I tell my truth.
I remind every woman I meet that it’s okay not to be okay—but it’s not okay to stay there.
Your healing has a sound. It’s the sound of your voice rising above shame.
It’s the sound of your journal pages turning as you release.
It’s the sound of your feet walking away from what tried to destroy you.
It’s the sound of your prayers, your songs, your laughter coming back.
You don’t have to be silent anymore.
You don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of healing.
Speak up. Reach out. Heal loud.
Because sis, you were never meant to die in silence.
You were born to live out loud.
Sincerely yours, MRS. VVS!
