“What is a VVS—And Why It Is Me”
For years, I called myself Miss 5Diamonds—a name born from the five precious daughters God gave me. Each one a gem. Each one a light. And for a long time, that name carried me.
But something happened…
As I grew in purpose, love, and obedience, God expanded my territory. I began mothering, mentoring, and ministering to more than just five. Young women, young men, broken hearts, and seeking souls. My name could no longer contain the capacity He was birthing in me.
Then God whispered, “You are no longer just Miss 5Diamonds.”
“I’ve changed your name.”
Just like He changed Abram to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, and Jacob to Israel, God reminded me that when you walk into a new calling, you don’t go by the same name.
I am not a diamond in the rough anymore—I am the Diamond. I am VVS.
In gemology, VVS stands for Very Very Slightly Included. That means near flawless. Not perfect—but precious. You have to look extremely close to find any flaw. That’s me. Pressed but not crushed. Refined but still real. Healed but still human.
I’ve been through the fire, and I came out clearer, rarer, stronger, and worth more than I ever believed.
VVS isn’t just a name. It’s an identity. It’s the evidence that God took His time with me.
And now, when people see me, they’re not just seeing Amanda or Miss 5Diamonds—they’re seeing God’s workmanship.
Because He changed my name.
Scripture
“You will no longer be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.”
—Genesis 17:5
“Whoever is in Christ is a new creation; the old has gone, the new is here!”
—2 Corinthians 5:17
Prayer
God, thank You for calling me by name and giving me a new one. Thank You for the pressure that made me shine, for the fire that made me flawless in Your eyes. I embrace who I am in You—not hidden, not broken, but chosen and changed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
